toaster waffles

She's going to turn into a toaster waffle

i just realized the other day why i think she likes waffles SOOO much.. because while i was pregnant with her it was what i CRAVED!! and it is so cute to watch her light up when it pops up out of the toaster. she is finally eating them without shoving them in her mouth, now she tears little pieces off. (although in this picture she is stuffing her face). i wish you could see it when that waffle pops out of the toaster... her eyes light up, mouth opens wide and she does a little wiggle in her seat, and if i don't get it to her quick enough she starts to scream!

now hopefully she won't crave coca cola!

Groundhogs Day
3:21pm

in two day's madison will turn five years old. it's hard to believe that it's been five years! she is the light of my life and i love her more than the day she entered this world. God gives us amazing gifts and i am grateful for her because she is the most sweetest and loving little girl. Being a mother is the most wonderful thing in the whole world and although it may have trying days she is the one who can always make me laugh. it's funny looking at this picture because of how much BROWN hair she has and i NEVER would have thought that i'd have a little girl with curly BLOND hair and blue eyes that looks nothing like me except maybe my nose. but i see myself in her (good and bad). and i hear my mother saying "one day you'll have one just like you"! now that's a scary thought.... but she is like me and i love her all the same! everynight i go into her room and watch her sleep and she is so beautiful and quiet :)

stay tuned for her birthday portraits and her birthday party pictures.

check out madison's scrapbook i did for her

and

catch up on all my posts about madison!

New Year... First Snow

I love our little house. it may be small and only have one bathroom but i love it. i love our quiet little street which only saw 3 cars the entire day. next year we will have to get a sled for the girls, but of course it probably won't snow then. the forecasters predicted that we would get about 6 inches of snow... well i think we got about 1 to 2 inches of snow and then 2 inches of ice. fun stuff. all day vic and i kept saying that it was so funny that we moved to belmont and then greensboro starts getting all the snow.. no fair. this was the second time this season they got more than 6 inches. yesterday we bundled up and took the girls out to see the snow or ice. madison was begging me all morning to go out. she would not stay off the ground, sliding down the ditch in our front yard and she would not stop eating the ice. emma loved walking around on the snow/ice, getting mad at vic when he tried to hold her hand so she wouldn't fall. we had fun watching the girls!

we all had at least two layers of clothing on and this was the disaster that was caused when we finished undressing.
